“Just know, Miss Charli, no last name, the next time you break one of my rules, I won’t respond as lightly.”
“You won’t?” I asked, more aroused than curious. “What exactly does that mean?”
He moved closer, seductively teasing my breasts with the presence of his wide chest. “I guess we’ll need to find that out together.”
I had to lift my chin to see his eyes. The light blue sparkled with suggestions. The longer I stared, the more a part of me wanted to find out exactly what he had in mind. There was also a part of me that knew that wasn't a good idea. I shrugged nonchalantly. “Then I guess I better not break any of your rules.”

My words can hardly describe the excitement I was feeling as I finished Betrayal. The journey was sluggish at times. I’m usually not a fan of walking down memory lane with the characters.

For the introduction to the series, Book #1 may be slow if you are not familiar with the author’s style of writing. I wasn’t and almost threw my Kindle away with the constant switch between present and past.

The story unfolds over a 6-week period where Alexandria aka Alex aka Charli has an unforgettable week with Nox, just Nox.  Rules were established and rules were broken! You won’t want to miss a minute of the unraveling.

While reading, the story will continue to transform and the momentum will build.  Its touch and go but hang in there. Now that I have finished the book, I believe the slow-pace storyline is deliberate. You will be rewarded for reading about the love/hate (mostly hate) relationship Alex has with her family.

I’m so glad I don’t have to wait very long for Book #2. Cunning is around the corner. In the meantime, I will catch up on being Aleatha’d by reading her other books. She is officially my new “Must Pre-Order” Author.
